Effective Laboratory Supplies is a family business that was started in 1987. We offer equal opportunity to all our staff in achieving the status and remuneration they desire in line with their qualifications and work ethic. The company employs total of 15 staff members, of which 10 are black and 8 including myself are female. All staff have undergone on the job training to improve their skills as far as product identification, usage and customer requirements are concerned. This aspect of training has greatly improved there standing within the company and to date the longest serving staff member is our black office supervisor of 10 years. The focus of Effective Laboratory Supplies has always been to meet the needs of the mining industry in respect of their laboratory and sample preparation equipment. The mining industry is still the industry in which we derive the majority of our business and which we have served for the past 22 years.

It has always been my strategy in starting Effective Laboratory Supplies to maintain and streamline our overheads and as such Effective Laboratory Supplies has manufacturing agreements with various engineering companies who supply us with the following products: - filter presses, rotary sample, slurry and cascade splitters, ball mills, rolls drives, swing/pot mills (single, 3 and 6 pots), jones rifflers, stainless steel sample cutters etc.

To date we have been instrumental in achieving a number of innovational changes to our products that are manufactured on our behalf as a result of us being able to identify with our customers requirements and high standards.

In addition to the above we have developed a web page for locally and international customers giving details on the company as well as our large product range.

This aspect of our marketing is proving beneficial to overseas companies wishing to purchase goods from South Africa.
